A Commitment to Keeping You Safe

Our UPMC hospitals and facilities in Ireland are following the HSE COVID-19 guidelines and are committed to preventing the spread of the virus. We are taking every step to keep patients, staff, and communities safe.

As we continue to offer medically necessary care in our hospitals and facilities, our commitment to safety remains. If you need to visit UPMC for a procedure or treatment, our goal is that you can do so safely.

Entrance Screening

We screen all visitors, patients, and staff for COVID-19 at the entrance of our hospitals and other medical facilities. We ask patients and visitors to perform proper hand hygiene, and take a thermal body temperature of anyone entering the building.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Our staff will wear masks, gowns, gloves, and other PPE to keep you safe.

Facemasks

To protect against the spread of the coronavirus, we’ll provide facemasks to our staff, vendors, patients, and visitors. We recommend their use at all times, and they are mandatory in all clinical and high-traffic areas.

Visitor Restrictions

To maximize patient safety, inpatient visitation is restricted at this time. Should patients wish to connect with their friends and family, accommodations can be made by reaching out to the nursing staff. Outpatients should only be accompanied when strictly necessary.

Sanitising

We operate with your safety in mind. Our cleaning team cleans and sanitise all high-touch items in public areas frequently.

Kind Words from Our Patients

"After forty-three days of radiotherapy treatment, this is my first day at home. Time to think about the many kindnesses and the concern shown by all and time to say a heartfelt 'thank you.' You guys really go the extra mile."

"Fantastic hospital. Wonderful staff. Quick and very efficient. Kind, compassionate nurses, exactly what is needed."
